All the staff from La Copa Hotel McAllen enjoyed having you. I think your performance(s) went really well and shouldn't change anything from it because that's what makes you unique. In my opinion I think it's a matter of getting well known where Winter Texans stay.
I hope next year it worksout with the new changes and maybe we can accommodate The Farnum Family at La Copa Hotel McAllen.

Dear Farnum Family...
Just wanted to drop you all a note to express our gratitude for your willingness to take time out of your schedule to bless us with your talents. A special thanks to Daniel for handling the (St. Patrick's Day) dance. He did a superb job! The music Sunday was perfect and just added the finishing touches on our already wonderful weekend! Looking forward to seeing your family again soon...

Dear Norm,
It appears that you and your family made some big in-roads this past season here in the RGV. We know
how hard you work... The Farnum Family will be one of the hottest tickets in town... not in the usual four to five years it takes, but I'm thinking in three years. Lucy and I are rootin' for ya'll!
Praying for you all & hope we can see you all again someday. We live on a mini-farm with many animals & we'd LOVE your family to be our guests. We have been married nearly 48 years & have 3 grown children married & 10 grands.
Thank you so much for serving our Lord Jesus with your music.

Hi Folks,
We thoroughly enjoyed your performance tonightand we want you back next year! ... I would like to make it a potluck supper followed by your show.
Again, great performance & ministry through song tonight. I think many of us who know Jesus as our personal Lord & Savior could see His mighty hand on your family. Thank you all for sharing such a precious gift with us!
How I wish I could have been there to see your family perform!! I've gotten loads of e-mails and calls and all very super-positive. I'd love to book you back for next year: the first to be booked back by popular demand!! Thanks for a great job. Hope you had fun with the turtles (on Padre Island), love them!!
I want to take a moment to thank you for the wonderful show you and your family performed here at AmeriCana RV Resort last week (January 22nd). Our guests are still talking about the great quality entertainment your family provides. Everyone was truly amazed at the talent displayed by your children. Your kids were extremely well behaved, sociable and brought out the grandparent in all of the guests. Your show was filled with wonderful singing, beautiful instrumentals and belly-laugh humor. The spontaneity of the interactions between family members was 'real world' funny and brought back memories of raising our own families.
Comments from attendees included:
AMAZING!
BENJAMIN CAN REALLY PICK!
DANIEL IS SUPER TALENTED & A GREAT SINGER!
HANNAH IS AMAZING ON THAT FIDDLE!

WHOLESOME FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT!
WHAT TALENT!
Once again, thanks for performing here. We will certainly consider booking you again in the future...
We recently had The Farnum Family to entertain (January 15th) at Valley View Estates in Mission, Texas. They performed a 90-minute exceptional show that was very well attended & applauded. We will definitely have them back again.

Dear Farnum Family,
Great to meet you guys at the O'Flaherty (Irish Music) Retreat. Just stumbled across your card. I wanted to say how well impressed I was by your family and your music. I really thought that your son's singing was great and your daughter on fiddle... is exceptional. Be sure to tell her to keep doing what she's doing and to learn many different styles. I expect to hear great things from her in the future.
Many blessings and stay in touch!
I just wanted to thank you for your Rockin' Saturdays performance. I heard you had good attendance and many were not just library patrons, but folks who came to see you. AWESOME! I am sorry I was unable to be there, but it sounds like you had one great show...

Dear Farnum Family:
Thank you all for coming for SDYC (Sam Davis Youth Camp in Clifton, Texas). You all made this camp perfect. I constantly listen to Folk Psalms that I bought last year and usually start crying - I miss camp so much. I would realy like it if Hannah and I could be PenPals! My address is on the envelope.
Thank you for the terrific music. I am practicing all the songs in my handbook for next year! I forgot to tell Benjaman congratulations at the Ball for 3rd place in the contest! "Congratulations!!" / Thank you Daniel for helping in Mess Hall. I really appreciated that. / Hannah, thank you for being a great friend! I really miss you. / Nathaniel, I love how you sing Goober Peas! You are a funny and good friend to be around. / Maggie, you were very pretty in the plaid dress at the Ball. I can't wait to see you next year! / Thank you, Matthew for playing with Erin and Kellie! They miss you a lot and wish you were here with them.
Mrs. Farnum, you did a wonderful job on the Modesty Class. It was a good idea to use pics from Gone with the Wind. Mr. Farnum, your class was one of the best! Combining the songs with the class made it a ton of fun.
Thank you all again for coming. Have a blessed year.

Hello Farnum Family:
Sorry it has taken so long to get back in touch with you. You were such a blessing to us and all who attended the Leadership Conference! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful gift of music with us. We saw that you are going to be at SDC on Sunday – we are going to try to make it out there to see you! We wanted to try to see you at Plumb Nellie Days in Branson, but we happen to have a meeting at that time.
Thank you for the beautiful Folk Psalms CD. We LOVE it! The children really enjoy listening to it as well. Thank you for sharing that with us!
We would love to set up a time to come out and spend some time with your family. We have a pretty full schedule through the end of May, but our schedule is easier in June... We look forward to seeing you again this weekend. Have a blessed day!
I am so grateful to all of you for your hard work (and playing) to pull off the Spring Planting Festival. Under good circumstances, it isn't always easy, but ya'll did it in the cold and the rain!
Thank you all so very much. I do appreciate all you did to make the Festival a success!

Attn: Norm,
Your music was a joy to my friend Joyce quite recently. She heard you all sing (on March 20th) at First Presbyterian Church in Sioux City, Iowa. She was so impressed and you made her happy! I also can make her happy with a gift of one of your CD's. She has a new portable radio and a new TV, so I believe she will be able to play your music or video - either way you have it available.
Joyce is a little bit handicapped due to an ancient brain injury. We were members of a local group called Siouxland Committee for the Handicapped, until it finally discontinued - now we share some lunch dates and church socials. She also has friends at the Presbyterian Church that share their lives with her. I believe she is 67 and her mother recently passed away, so we make sure she has someone to rely on. It will be fun for her to get a figt in the mail, so here is my check. Please send your CD to her.
I am one of the Mission Committe Members, and I really like gospel music. Looking forward to meeting you all some day.

Y'ALL WERE FABULOUS! Many compliments to me about your show!
Thank you for sharing your family’s musical talents at WinterFest last weekend. Live performances really add to the festive nature of that event, and I heard many positive comments about all of the ensembles from patrons, artists, and staff. It was nice meeting you, and please let your family know how much their participation is appreciated!
I want to thank you so much for coming to our Revival and sharing your music with us. Everyone was so pleased with your performance, and there was one family that came just because you were going to be there... Again, thanks so much; and I am always available to anyone in need. God Bless You.

Dear SDYC Leaders:
Thank you for a wonderful week. I made many lovely friends and learned a lot, especially in Pastor Weaver's biography lectures. When I got home, I cried because I missed (Sam Davis Youth) camp so much. I'm going to tell all my friends to come next year. I was not homesick at all. Everyone was so friendly--like a second family. I was really challenged waking up early, taking notes, learning new dances, and staying awake in class (ha! ha!). It was an honor to receive the Ladies Camper of The Year Award. I am still wearing my pin! I loved the dance practices; half the joy at camp was listening to the Farnums. Thank you again for organizing the camp and posting the incredible pictures. It was a TON of fun!

Dear Norm:
Thank you for your
family's valuable work you provided for the youth at the Texas Division
Sam Davis Youth Camp in
Clifton, Texas, and particularly for the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
It was a pleasure to
meet you and your family at the Camp on the final day of the camp and I
thank you for the complimentary CD's you provided me. They were
excellent and I love your family's talent.
Our congregations were
blessed by the music ministry of the Farnum family. They present a
sincere, Biblical based message in an engaging manner. The congregation
enjoyed each member of the family and their unique talents. It is a
blessing to experience a family ministering together.

Dear Friends,
I want to recommend the Farnum Family to
you. They sang for the Vinita Church of the Nazarene morning worship
service (June 6th) and everyone gave glowing comments and
remarks. More than one of our members stated, "That was as good as
Branson."
I really must agree. The family is very
talented, but the performance goes far beyond raw talent to a well
rehearsed and well designed program. They have just the right balance of
folk-instruments and traditional musical style, but in new and fresh
arrangements. It was a worship service, not just a performance. The time
passed quickly, and everyone was sad it was over.
We hope that the Farnum Family will have
another tour through our area so we can have them again!

Mr. & Mrs. Farnum:
I want your family to know how much I
enjoyed & appreciated your special concert at Parkview Christian Church.
I attend El Dorado United Methodist Church. The Church is about 20
minutes west of Sedalia. Later in the year I or our pastor will be in
touch and we'll set up a date. Thanks again for your special ministry to
our community.
Just wanted you to know that I received
your cd's and played "Turkey in the Straw", "Battle of New Orleans" and
"Blackberry Blossom". I want to thank you for promoting the old time,
traditional music. This is the kind of music that is the backbone of our
country and represents the morals that we all need to hold on to if our
country has any chance to turn from the moral decline that we've seen
for the past several decades. God Bless you in your music ministry.
If you have the chance to send a signed
photo of your family group for my portfolio, I would much appreciate it.
I will keep you updated on our audiences' response to your music.
Do you do church concerts?
(Yes.) Would you like for me to check
around on some possible dates in my area? (Yes,
indeed!) There is also the big
Poppy Mountain Bluegrass
festival in Morehead, Kentucky every September. (That
would be nice!)
We would like to thank
you for coming to the Crane Presbyterian Church. Your musical message
was enthusiastic and uplifting for our congregation. I believe your
family has accomplished a rather unique goal. You provided something for
everyone. The instruments were varied, the style of music constantly
changing and, of course, the vocals were wonderful. God has blessed your
family with amazing talent. Thank you for sharing with us!

Thank you for all you do! Have a Happy Holiday Season!
I was in Norm's guitar class at the
(O'Flaherty's) Irish Music Retreat
last weekend
(October 23-25),
and while I was there I picked up copies of your CDs. When I
looked at the back of the "Folk Psalms" CD, I wasn't sure I
would like it as I could think of lots of very tacky ways of
putting the Psalms and folk tunes together! But I have been
working for the last 12 years on a different kind of musical
project to help people learn the Psalms, so I was curious about
what you had done. And I found it very enjoyable-- I've listened to it three times already! The arrangements
are very well done, and your music complements the Psalms nicely. The RPCNA Psalter is modern enough to be easy to understand
(unlike some of the ones from the 1600's, which are getting a
little challenging for 21st century English speakers!),
but the changes of syntax necessary for setting the words into
verse, provides just enough of an "old-fashioned" sound that it
fits really well with the folk melodies. I hope you'll
consider doing some more of the Psalms in the future! I
think the CD would be enjoyable to a lot of the families that I
know, so I'll be directing some other folks to your site. Thank you so much for making the CD and sharing it with us!

Dear Farnum Family,
Thanks so much for playing
and singing at the (Baker Creek Seed) festival. It was great to see
you all here again. Looking forward to when we see you again.
I am not sure whether you remember from the
May Garden Show. I was the girl that asked if you all could play the
song, "I Saw the Light" and Mr. Farnum kept thinking it was "I'll Fly
Away". Well, I really enjoyed your all's music there and was
wondering if you could send me your newest CD. The one that has
hymns and all. I will enclose $20 (for postage & cost) and if you need
more I'll send it. Though it may be a few months before you get
it, being that I'll be going down to Puerto Rico for a mission trip.
By the way, which kind of church do you all
attend? And what different kinds of places do you play at?
May God be with you!

How excited I was to accidentally find your
web site. My name is April Gibson and normally live two blocks from the
place you would have sung in Pleasant Hills, MO... at the Cass County
Fair this year, but my house is the block behind the grandstand in the
center of Pleasant Hill. I am so sorry I missed you, but the funniest
thing is... I haven't been to church, the Oak Grove Bible Church for
about a month. I was speaking to my mother-in-law, Marge Puckett... and
she said I missed the best time at church. There was this wonderful
family named the Farnum's who sang the most beautiful Bluegrass Gospel
at church. First of all, Bluegrass is my favorite music and hearing
gospel music adds to the delight. I just wanted you to know, somehow, by
the grace of God your name was passed on one more time to the glory of
the Lord. Hope to get to see you next time around, and I will be
following your calendar in the future. Thank you for delighting the Oak
Grove Bible Church and all the wonderful people in Pleasant Hill who
heard the gospel through your wonderful singing.

Hi Norm & Trish:
Thanks for doing such a great job at the (Cass

enjoyed your performance. I personally had a great time and enjoyed
everything you played. I really liked that you did the seldom-heard
second (and 3rd & 4th)
verse of “Grandfathers Clock” which is one of my favorite songs.
Thanks also for playing along and being a good sport with all the banjo
player jokes! Thanks,

Hi Friends,
Enjoy getting your emails; it was a blessed
pleasure to get to know you all and become your friends. We will
never forget what you and your family did for us in our concert
series... I have had a lot of great compliments on you guys and
your show - everyone really loved you all. In the future when we
can get our finances built up we plan on putting together a small
festival and we will keep you all in mind when we do.
Trust you and the family are well. We'd like to get a few copies of the Homegrown Tomatoes CD to use as a
give away during our semi-annual Operation
WMSD(fundraiser). Basically, we take a week and appeal to people to give us a call. We are not asking for money, but folks usually give. In return we
like to have a gift of some sort to send them and I don't need to tell
you that "Homegrown Tomatoes" has become a "hit" here on
WMSD. There have been a
couple of requests for "An English Country Garden" as well. Thanks
and you folks keep on singing for the Lord and bringing us that great
music. I sure enjoy your banjo pickin'.
Enclosed you will find two booklets I
authored and I hope they will be a blessing to you. These are a
gift to you in appreciation for your music and your service to the Lord. I am certain that in these days traveling is often taxing as you face
gas, food and other things costing you more than you expected.
If I have learned anything in these 60-plus
years it is that everyone has a talent or an ability given them of God,
and He expects us to develop it and use it for Him. I believe that
is exactly what you folks are doing. Keep on keepin' on for the
Lord. God bless you and we look forward to more music from the
Farnums.
We certainly do appreciate you coming and
participating in our Music Opry Live concert series. Everyone had very positive words to say about you guys; you did a superb
performance and I was impressed with your whole family. I have a
spot in my heart for the young folks who take on this big step in the
music business. You will go far in your profession and we wish you
the most of success in the future... and you are definitely invited to
come back when you can in the future to perform again.
We sure all enjoyed your
music at the Oldfield Opry on Saturday night (Jan. 17th). Hope to see you all again.

camp. If you would like a printable quality of any, let me
know.
May God continue to bless your family and ministry. I believe
there is a great need for your kind of ministry in America. Let us
know if there is anything we can do to support you.

Hello Farnum Family...
We met in Branson at the Clown Jam. My
name is Shan Foster and little Matthew sat with me while you played. (I had a silver shiny hat). I am so glad to have met you. Your family is so sweet. The Lord is really using you all for his
glory. Thank you so much for letting us join you for supper at your
table. Never stop smiling and continue your great work. You
will be rewarded in Heaven for Eternity.
We enjoyed your music so much
(at the Jefferson City Farmers' Market). And my husband really appreciated the short banjo lesson. Could I
leave my email address so that if you are going to be in the Jeff City
area we could come to hear you? (Yes! We've added you to our email list...)
We appreciated you being here and your
music. We hope we can ask you to come again. We enjoy having
family groups. They add so MUCH. So glad to see the youth --
singing and praising god.
I really enjoyed your Fiddle tunes! I
have heard other fiddlers over there (Snyder
Park) but none of them played the old fashion tunes. My
husband learned to play music when he was about 10 or 12 years old. He played the electric guitar -- also the acoustic guitar. He
never took lessons; he played by ear.
I hope you will enjoy the tape. He
played the fiddle, acoustic & electric guitar, then took it to a studio
& had it put on one tape. He also sang & played lead on the
guitar. He played for Senior Citizens & Nursing Homes.
Keep playing!

Greetings!
We hope you enjoy this copy of the recent
(Youth in Bluegrass) contest at Silver Dollar City. It was such a
joy for us to be around people who seemed to share some common
interests, a love for the Lord, family & music!

Farnum Family...
Thank You To All of You For Your Part in Making Our
Festival Great!
Just wanted to let you know how very much I
enjoyed your shows at Silver Dollar city this week-end. All your
children are precious and so talented, too. My husband, John, is
looking forward to meeting you.
I called the program director of the
Bluegrass Monday Concert Series at KASU. He coordinates the
bluegrass shows here in town that I told you about. I've enclosed
recent programs with contact and other information you might be
interested in.
I'm looking forward to seeing you again
soon. Hope all of you will be performing at SDC in the fall.
Take care and God Bless You.

Thank You for Your Part in Making Our
Festival a Huge Success!
What a great time we had last Saturday
night as you graced our stage with your family. We enjoyed every
minute, and the audience did, too. Diana said you were also
wonderful guests at her
Prairie Crossing Bed & Breakfast. Thank you for coming and sharing your time with us.
Enclosed is a video of the program that
night and also CD's that I told Daniel I would send to him. He has
a promising future with that rich voice of his.
Thank you for entertaining us at Northwest Stars. We enjoy
your music very much. Thank you.

Dear Norm & Trish and Family:
At the Bluegrass Festival in Burlington, a friend of ours gave us two of your
CDs... We really enjoy all of the beautiful songs on them, and pray
that God will bless you for using your wonderful talents to praise His Name.

Dear Farnum Family,
Just a note to say Thank You for helping
us at the concert... and wanted to let you know that $1,000.00
was raised & presented to the Pregnancy Care Center for the Abstinence Program. Please pray that the books that will be purchased & given to school children
will change the attitudes of their families if they are wrong & reinforce
them if they believe God's way is right...

Hi Norm and Trish,
Thank you so much for the wonderful entertainment
yesterday.
We had a Gray/Campbell Farmstead board meeting today. Everyone there said they loved having you and
your family there. Jane, our president, says your oldest son is the
next Garth Brooks. I don't know if you think that is a compliment
or not, but she meant it for one. She thinks he is special!
Thanks again. I am looking forward
to hearing you (again) soon. Let me know where you will be.
God bless.

Hello Ya'll!
I saw your wonderful family today at Bass Pro
Shops... I was truly TOUCHED by the gift God has given your family in music.
I was the one from "Detroit" and the camera
and phone... ha...
Anyway... I would like to order a CD from you.
My wife home schools, has 4 children and our
15 year old son is a very well talented guitarist.
I knew you were a Christian family when I walked
by and was intrigued how your family entertained the guests...
God bless your ministry and hope we can have
you in Michigan one day!
Great seeing you in Chetek, Wisconsin Camp. Thanks for all your
lovely music...

Dear Farnums,
We are so glad that you could come play at
the festival & visit with us for a couple of days! Thank you for participating
in
GospelGrass - you all really added a lot
to that day & I know many people enjoyed your music.
Norm, thanks for being such a great emcee &
for doing the banjo workshop. That was such a help!
Yo, this
is Roger over at Mountain Music Shop... It’s got to be a real kick
in the tail to have a bunch of kids... and then all of a sudden you
play instruments... and then all of a sudden you got them playin’
instruments... and then all of a sudden that stuff you made’s makin’
music with you! That’s got to be kind of a cool thing!
Anyway,
I listened to your album, dude, and I like it. I kind of like the
banjo playin’ on Battle of New Orleans... it’s my favorite... Blackberry Blossom is one of my favorite overall songs. But I always
like that Homegrown Tomatoes song.
It’s all
pretty good. It sounds all very 'family-bandy'. And it’s got
a certain charm to it. It’s very Ozarks. I like it. That’s
my review. It’s good, so… Bye!
The preceding telephone
message was received after sharing our Tomato Pickin’ CD with our
friend, Roger Garret, who owns and operates a local Branson music
store... We found it quite entertaining so thought we'd share
it with y'all!

Hi Y’all,
Thanks so much for attending the
Missouri
League of the South meeting... Your music was a blessing and most
entertaining. However, even more of a blessing to me personally
was the testimony of your lives when not on the stage. It was obvious
that yours is a family that loves the Lord and each other. You are
a living witness as to what it means to be in the center of God’s will.
Thanks again for making the state meeting
such a success.
God Bless Y’all,
Bob Mills

Thank you so much for the CD. We really are enjoying it. We
give it an A+ for dance-ability! And of course, we love the Tomato-Heads.
